Having recently been hired as the General Manager of the Goleta Valley Community Center, I look forward to the future and the challenges that it brings. Public service has been a large part of my life; I find it very enjoyable and rewarding. That said; the GVCC staff and I look forward to providing space and opportunities for the community to make available a variety of services and programs. If you have never been to the GVCC, I am extending an open invitation to come see what’s happening in the Heart of Old Town Goleta!

The GVCC is a beautiful place to spend my work hours! Where else can I open my window onto a beautiful courtyard with musical fountains? Where else could I find a working environment that so fully utilizes my talents & skills? My many years of accounting and management, particularly in the insurance industry, have uniquely prepared me for contributing fully to the GVCC. In my spare time, I am very involved in St. Raphael’s youth ministry and music programs. In addition I enjoy my family of grown children and now, little Shih Tzu children, who brighten my life.

I have been the Director of the Goleta Valley Senior Center for the past 7 years and have worked within the senior population for 18 years. I am excited to be a member of the Elder & Dependent Adult Abuse Prevention Council, as well as sit on the Council for the Area Agency on Aging, and I am on the Board of Directors for RSVP. I love my work here at the GVCC and am proud of the services we offer to the senior population.
